Job Title: Seasonal Sports Nutrition InternOrganization: Seattle SeahawksReports To: Director of Performance NutritionLocation: Virginia Mason Athletic Center (VMAC) – 12 Seahawks Way, Renton, WA 98056Timeframe: July 2026 – January 2027 (or the end of the season – Latest is February 14, 2027)Application Deadline: April 24, 2026Job SummaryThe Seattle Seahawks are seeking a motivated Seasonal Sports Nutrition Intern to assist in the planning and execution of culinary, clinical and performance-based nutrition initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional sports environment, supporting players’ performance, recovery and overall health.Job ResponsibilitiesCulinary and Foodservice Nutrition: (50%)Develop recipes and procure performance and recovery snacksManage daily tasks, including stocking refrigerators, coolers and snack stations; setting up supplement stations; and preparing nutrition shakesAssist in ordering, inventory and stocking of the Player Lounge/Fueling StationCollaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning and nutrient analysisClinical and Performance Nutrition: (20%)Support player education initiatives, including developing nutrition resourcesCounsel and create plans for return-to-play and injured playersAssist in player data collection and analysis (hydration, weights, body composition, dietary intake, etc.)Stay updated on the latest research in nutritional products, practices and supplementsTeam Collaboration and Operations: (20%) Manage the meal and menu app (Teamworks Nutrition)Participate in Sports Performance meetingsCollaborate and communicate with coaching staff, strength and conditioning, sports medicine, food service staff, players and administrationProfessional Development: (10%)Engage in monthly article reviews (journal club) with a supervisorPerform additional duties as assigned by the supervisorQUALIFICATIONS RequiredBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or Exercise PhysiologyMinimum 6 months of experience in a collegiate or professional sports nutrition environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn performance software quicklyStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to problem-solve, manage time, stay organized and maintain professionalismUnderstanding of HIPAA and professional codes of conductPreferredRegistered Dietitian (RD) or RD-EligibleExperience with food service operationsFamiliarity with design software such as Canva and Adobe AcrobatWORK SCHEDULE Maximum Weekly Hours: 45 Orientation/Training: Mid-JulyTraining Camp: Mid-July – End of August (6-7 days per week) Regular Season: September 1, 2026 – January or February 2027 (5-6 days per week)Meals Provided: 2-3 meals/day depending on the seasonTravel: This is a non-travel position APPLICATION PROCESSSubmit the following materials by April 24, 2026:Cover LetterResumeNutrition-related project you have completedProfessional ReferencesNote: Only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.CompensationThe hourly rate for this position is: $22.75The hourly rate applies to the current posting.
