Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered\nindustrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other\nelevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials\nfrom rail cars in distribution center or storage yard.\nResponsibilities:\n\nSupports and trains newly hired forklift operators within their area of responsibility.\nAssists supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning, and directing work\nLoad, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial\nequipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a\ndaily basis, inspect assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient\nmanner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.\n\nUnload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack\nand store product in the appropriate areas.\n\nPull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products\nare loaded and shipped.\n\nEfficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or\ncontainers.\n\nJOB DESCRIPTION\n\nEnsure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.\nInventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.\nFollow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely.\nCoordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance.\nPerform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process.\nConduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can't be self-corrected to the leadership team.\nFollow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.\nObserve all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nAbout Us:\nID Logistics (IDL), a global leader in third-party logistics, combines entrepreneurial spirit with a dedication to operational excellence.
