Electrical Test Technician

OVERVIEW:The successful candidate will have previous knowledge of the theory of electricity, electrical schematics and various electrical measuring devices such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and megger/hi-pot testingFUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:Be part of a team that performs a wide variety of advanced and complex level tasks involving the use of mechanical and electronic test equipment.Ability to work at complex level tasks involving troubleshooting and testingResponds to customer telephone callsEnsures that assignments are completed in the established time standards.All-purpose technician capable of adjusting mechanical/electrical parts.Testing and repairing pipes and leaks in air, and oil systemsFills test reports, internal adjustments, and pending job information accuratelyKeeps testing area clean at all timeTheory of electrical principles and troubleshooting skillsPrior experience working with test procedures and ability to read and understand the schematicsFamiliarity with electrical testing instruments (e.g. Multi-meter, Amp meter, oscilloscope, Hi-pot, megger, data recorder etc.)Prior experience working with LabVIEW or similar toolCope with rotational shiftwork. This position is 3 weeks (first shift) and 3 weeks (second shift)Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager TRAINING/EDUCATION REQUIRED:High school graduate or equivalent required with at least 5 years of progressive and directly related electrical/mechanical experience required.Associates degree in electrical/mechanical engineering can be used in lieu of 5 years' experience without degreeSkillset to follow schematics, pneumatic, hydraulic, air conditioning in making repairs INITIAL TRAINING:Quality systemOccupational Hazards Prevention SystemRailway Safety Management SystemHuman Resources PoliciesEnvironmental SystemsInformation/Cyber Security QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:Ability to work in a start-up, high pressure environmentMust be self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills essential for day to day operations.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingUnderstanding oral and written Spanish highly desirableMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:Shall report all injuries/illnesses to their supervisor that occur at work, the day of the incidentShall report any unsafe conditions that are identified in their respective work area to their supervisorShall comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and requirements that are communicated to them, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) proceduresShall wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is communicated and supplied to themShall keep their respective work area clean and orderly at all timesShall attend all company required training as soon as possible before the start of their assigned workShall NOT operate any company equipment (forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts) until certified to do so$25 - $33 per hour based on experience#M1#LI-JB1
