The position requires working closely with manufacturing, management, purchasing, and customer service.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nDevelop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve safety, throughput, efficiencies, production yields, and costs.\n\nProvide hands‑on technical leadership in all aspects related to production, including training of employees in appropriate use of tooling, equipment, interpretation of assembly documentation, and lean tools, techniques, and practices.\n\nInterface with and give support, as required to managers, manufacturing, test, purchasing, engineering, process documentation, and materials.\n\nCoordinate with the various departments engaged in setting up or changing the manufacturing processes involved with the new or revised product.\n\nEstablish standardized work, process flow, detailed procedures, and requirements for all phases of manufacturing to meet cost, quality, performance, and schedule requirements.\n\nDevelop, improve, and monitor tooling for prototype and legacy products.\n\nTakes responsibility for other essential duties, as determined by management.\n\nLead and/or contribute to continuous improvement projects.\n\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements\n\n5+ years experience in manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or similar field.\n\nExperience working with AS9100/ISO9001:2015 quality system and knowledge of IPC-A-610, I620, and J-STD-001 quality requirements. ISO13485 experience is a plus.\n\nAbility to develop tooling and fixtures utilizing CAD software.\n\nAbility to develop labor estimates for quoting.\n\nExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.\n\nHighly motivated individual with the capability of handling multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment while still meeting goals and deadlines.\n\nComputer Skills\n\nProficient in Microsoft Windows and Office.\n\nExperience working with SolidWorks or CAD/CAM modeling tools.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nPost‑secondary education (technical certification, associate degree, bachelor’s degree) with at least 5 years of relevant work experience. Consideration will be given for additional years of experience in lieu of a formal degree.\n\nProven record of accomplishments showing process improvement and the ability to streamline processes.\n\nExperience with tooling design, fixture, jig, and/or template creation desired.\n\nExperience working in a high‑demand contractor OEM manufacturing environment with electro‑mechanical components and products.\n\nDemonstrated accomplishments leading and implementing quality improvement projects desired.\n\nLean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt experience preferred.\n\nWorking Conditions\n\nWork involves lifting materials and product up to 30 pounds.\n\nAltek Electronics, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
