The hours are 7am - 3:30pm.\r\nPay Scale\r\n$28.85 - $38.46\r\nThis pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education. General Dynamics NASSCO-Norfolk also provides a variety of benefits including medical & dental insurance coverage, 401(k) retirement savings plan, flexible spending accounts/HSAs, life and disability insurance, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO), and wellness coaching.\r\nShift : ALL\r\nSecurity Clearance : No Clearance\r\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE (Job Description)\r\nThe Test Coordinator is the primary interface between the Project Team and the Quality Assurance Directorate in the scheduling and conduct of all required testing, IAW the T&I Plan. The Test Coordinator will maintain the Test Schedule, co-organize and integrate proper test conduct throughout all stages of repair and construction, dealing effectively with QA and Customer Representatives. Responsible for the development of all test documentation to include test procedures, reports, test plans, and other contract required test documentation for repair and construction test program. POSITION DEMANDS (Education/Training)\r\nB.S. Degree and/or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years desired experience, encompassing Repair and Construction Shipbuilding processes and procedures.\r\nPOSITION DEMANDS (Required Experience) Proven experience in Propulsion Plant Systems, Centralized Control System operations, Diesel Generators and experience in managing ships, towards final completion phases, up to and including Sea Trials, Delivery, and Guarantee Period.\r\nPossess strong Management skills in Cost Management, Scheduling and Planning, Personnel Management, QA and Safety awareness.\r\nDemonstrated experience in dealing with Customer and Regulatory Body requirements.\r\nPreparing and giving briefs to large groups and individuals.\r\nEffective Leadership, Communication, and Team Building skills.\r\nDemonstrated knowledge and utilization of Production processes, Methods and Technology.\r\nMeet requirements for obtaining a D.O.D. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS\r\nReports to the Test & WAF Manager\r\nProfessional working relationship with the QA Supervisor, Project Team members, Production\r\nManager, and with key Production personnel such as Foremen and Lead Men.\r\n\r\nPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES\r\nReview the work items to determine what tests and inspections are required for a given Project\r\nwork item, including checkpoints listed in applicable NAVSEA Standard Items as referenced by the\r\nProject work items.\r\nObtain a copy of and review the Test & Inspection (T&I) Plan from NASSCO Quality Assurance for\r\neach Project.\r\nObtain a copy of any special T&I requirements from the government for each Project's work item.\r\nWrite and maintain a Test and Trials Schedule &Tracking Matrix.\r\nVerify all Tests and Inspections for a given Project are completed satisfactorily and are properly\r\ndocumented in the T&I Plan.\r\nReview the CFR database to verify all required test and inspection reports have been submitted\r\nand all accompanying required data and attachments are complete and the final tests and\r\ninspections are found Satisfactory.\r\nSubmit Work Completion Certification Report input data and T&I status to the Test & WAF\r\nManager for each contractor-responsible work item.\r\nEnsure all required DFSs are submitted and answered.\r\nACCOUNTABILITY\r\nOn-time meeting of Project Milestones final completion of each Project.\r\nAll government-required tests and inspections are completed on time and with a score of\r\nSatisfactory.\r\nAll T&I Required Reports are submitted on time and answered by the government in a timely\r\nmanner.\r\nSTANDARD EQUIPMENT ISSUE\r\nLaptop or Desk PC\r\nSoftware: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat Reader\r\nRemote access to company LAN and Internet when assigned to a mobile location\r\nCell telephone when assigned to a mobile location\r\nUNIQUE/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\r\nFrequent: Extended hours (1-4 hours per week)\r\nOccasional: Weekend work; 2nd Shift work\r\nInfrequent: Ride customer ship (1-3 days)\r\nInfrequent: Travel to customer ship located out-of-area\r\nGeneral Dynamics NASSCO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
