FINANCE MANAGER - CONTROLLER

The Finance Manager supervises the Accounting Staff, and has functional responsibility for Accounting/Finance, Human Resources/Payroll/Benefits Administration and Legal matters. This position reports to the President. Responsibilities and Duties: Promote the company’s core values throughout the department. Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account analysis. Prepare and distribute monthly Financial Statements, Operations Summaries & Forecasts. Prepare & monitor annual budgets and variances. Complete various year end/annual reporting requirements (1094c/1095c, EEO1, Medicare Part D notices etc.). Lead the annual physical inventory process and event. Provide data to outside CPA firms & Parent Company. Calculate & maintain Obsolete Inventory & Warranty Reserves. Provide oversight of G/L and Accruals. Coordinate all information required for annual audit and answer auditors’ questions. Monitor Cash Flow. Research Customer credit standing, set credit limits and handle collections. Provide banking oversight: wire transfers, borrowing base reports, negotiation of customer Letters of Credit. Calculate and track sales team commissions. Oversee multiple state sales and use tax returns. Provide cost accounting oversight. Provide information required for annual insurance renewals. Review all Bid Specs, RFQ’s, Purchase Orders, Lease Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements, etc. Negotiate payment and commercial terms on Purchase Orders and prepare Purchase Order Modifications accordingly. Monitor regulatory/legislative changes for effect on HR policies, implement required policy changes, including posting updates. Advise managers regarding progressive discipline/terminations, unemployment claim disputes etc. Prepare Offer Letters, Severance Agreements, and WARN Act notices. Submit Job Postings, process background checks and assist in onboarding new employees. Qualifications and Skills: BBA or BS with a major in accounting and 7 - 10 years of experience managing an accounting team in a manufacturing environment Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Excellent written and oral communication skills Proficient in the use of ERP systems; knowledge and use of INFOR’s Cloud Suite Industrial a plus Dedication to excellence and a quality output The highest caliber of ethics Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check and credit check Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
