Health Maintenance Activity AttendantThe Health Maintenance Activity Attendant is a person who is specifically trained, competent and performs assigned functions of health maintenance activity attendant to the client in their residence under the direction, instruction and supervision of qualified Agency personnel/Agency's Licensed Health Care Professional. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager/IHSS Clinical Program Manager.Duties/Responsibilities:Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and proceduresUnderstands and promotes client rightsPerforms health maintenance activities in accordance with the plan of care and Agency policyDuties include but are not limited to: skin care, ambulation, bathing, dressing, feeding, hair care, mouth care, nail care, positioning, shaving, toileting, transfers, medication management, protective oversight, bowel/bladder care, respiratory care, etc.Performs household services essential to care in the home as assignedCompletes appropriate service notes completely, accurately and in a timely manner as per Agency policyReports changes in the client's condition and needs to the supervisorParticipates in all required orientation, training, competency and in-service programs as scheduled and necessary per Agency policyIs available for and participates in the supervisory visits per Agency directionParticipates in coordination of client care, as requiredRequired Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:Demonstrate competency in caring for the client to the satisfaction of the client or Authorized RepresentativeHave a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderlyAbility to carry out written and verbal directionsRead and writeMaturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the jobMust be able to lift, pull, push and carry heavy weight; must be able to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reachEducation/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:Must be at least 16 years oldShall not represent themselves to the public as a licensed nurse, a certified nurse's aide, a licensed practical or professional nurse, a registered nurse or a registered professional nurseShall not have had their license as a nurse or certified nurse aide suspended or revoked or their application for such license or certification deniedBenefits + Perks of Joining the Team:Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Referral ProgramFlexible schedulingPaid, hands-on trainingWeekly payTuition Assistance Programs and Continuing Education opportunitiesNursing programs for new graduates available!Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00 / hourWe accept applications on an ongoing basis.
