This is an entry‑to‑associate level role focused on building machines, flashing images, deploying equipment, and providing basic technical support for factory hardware.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nHardware Build & Deployment:\n\nBuild and configure OT hardware including industrial PCs, control stations, and factory equipment.\n\nFlash operating system images and software packages onto devices following standard procedures.\n\nTest hardware to ensure proper functionality before deployment.\n\nDeploy configured hardware to factory locations across campus sites.\n\nImaging & Configuration:\n\nExecute imaging operations using provided tools and instructions.\n\nInstall software, drivers, and applications on factory systems.\n\nVerify that deployed systems are working correctly and meet requirements.\n\nBasic Technical Support:\n\nProvide first‑line support for hardware issues and assist with troubleshooting.\n\nHandle incoming tickets for hardware deployments, replacements, and basic repairs.\n\nPerform equipment swaps and reimaging to resolve issues.\n\nEscalate complex problems to senior team members.\n\nInventory & Asset Management:\n\nTrack hardware inventory including devices, spare parts, and equipment.\n\nMaintain accurate records in asset management systems.\n\nReceive, inspect, and organize incoming hardware shipments.\n\nAssist with equipment returns and replacements.\n\nDocumentation:\n\nFollow standard operating procedures for imaging and deployment tasks.\n\nDocument deployment activities and issues in ticketing systems.\n\nComplete deployment checklists and records.\n\nLogistics Support:\n\nCoordinate hardware movement between campus locations.\n\nSupport deployment activities during standard hours and occasionally during off‑hours.\n\nAssist with equipment setup at various factory locations.\n\nRequirements:\nExperience:\n\n1-3 years of experience in IT support, hardware deployment, desktop support, or related technical role.\n\nAbility to work second shift; 3PM - 11:30PM\n\nExperience building computers, installing operating systems, or working with hardware.\n\nBasic understanding of computer hardware and software installation.\n\nTechnical Skills:\n\nComfortable building and assembling computer hardware.\n\nFamiliarity with operating system installation and imaging processes.\n\nBasic troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.\n\nAbility to follow technical instructions and procedures.\n\nBasic computer skills including use of ticketing systems and documentation tools.\n\nWillingness to learn new tools and technologies.\n\nPersonal Attributes:\n\nDetail‑oriented with focus on following procedures accurately.\n\nGood organizational skills and ability to manage tasks.\n\nSelf‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.\n\nGood communication skills for working with team members.\n\nComfortable working in factory/industrial environments.\n\nFlexibility to occasionally work non‑standard hours for deployments.\n\nPhysical ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) and perform hands‑on work.\n\nEducation:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n\nAssociate's degree or technical certification is a plus but not required.\n\nCertifications:\n\nCompTIA A+ or similar certifications are a plus but not required.\n\nSalary Range:\n$67,000 – $88,000 USD\n\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
