This role focuses on requirements management, technical analysis, and verification support for space communications programs.You will work closely to develop compliant systems architectures, establish comprehensive verification and validation strategies, and ensure system requirements are well-defined, traceable, and verifiable across the full development lifecycle.The day-to-dayDevelop, manage, and maintain top level system requirementsSupport requirements decomposition, allocation, and traceability through development of Requirements Compliance Matrices (RVCM) and Requirements Verification Traceability Matrices (RVTM) Assist with verification and validation planning and execution Perform system analyses using tools such as STK, MATLAB, or PythonSupport development of system documentation and technical artifacts, both internal and external for Customer sell-off Participate in trade studies and design reviewsCollaborate with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Program Management and Supply Chain What You'll NeedBachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience3-5 years of systems engineering or related technical experiencePrior experience supporting space programsFamiliarity with requirements management and system analysis techniquesAbility to communicate technical information clearly and effectivelyAbility to travel up to 10%What Will Help You On The JobExperience with STK modeling, MATLAB, and/or PythonExposure to verification, validation, and integration activitiesInterest in developing broad system-level understanding Salary range$95,000.00 - $149,500.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $117,500.00- $176,500.00/ annuallyAt Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
