Establishing project schedule, kick off meetings, maintain the schedule as project processes and communicating with clients, consultants, and designers as milestones are met or change.Monitor staffing plans and projected workloads to meet expected project timelines, budgets, and profitabilityReview and assist staff in setting budgets, goals, and preparing work plans that clearly define their expectations, and take appropriate action when as neededWork with accounting to invoice clients for services and resolve collection of aged accounts and any financial issues with clientsEnsure that project managers support design and follow design intent and quality on all projectsEnsure that documents are reviewed for quality, coordination, and compliance with the requirements of deliverables and client standards in all phasesReview cost estimates and conduct value analysisResolve plan check and approval issues with the agencies and clientAssists Practice Group Leaders in developing and validating project scope and fee, budget, and scope of services during the marketing and contract development process.Assists in preparing project presentations. May participate and/or lead client presentations.Assists Practice Group Leader in the preparation and execution of consultant contracts and fee negotiationBusiness Development/Client InterfaceManage an average net project revenue per year of $1M-$2M in new contracts through existing clients epeat work or new business development activitiesServe as the primary proponent on project pursuits, establish strong relationships with clients, and leading a team that will present to clientsUse market and client intelligence in locating new opportunities, prepositioning, preparing quals/proposals, and interviewingWork with existing clients to identify upcoming architectural needs that can lead to project opportunitiesEnsure that additional services requested by client are billed and invoiced appropriatelyDevelop a network of current and past clients and industry partnersMaintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure that they are satisfied with DesignGroup's servicesDirect overall verbal and graphic communication of complex project concepts to clients, public agencies, and project team members; serve as the primary point of contact for all client issuesWrite RFP’S and negotiate contracts and fees with clients and consultantsWrite thought leadership articles for architecture and construction industryParticipates in selected marketing and business development opportunities. Assists in development of fee proposals for marketing proposals.Project ArchitectTechnical leader of the team responsible for Schematic Design through Close Out PhasesLead owner/user meetings, particularly in the Design Development phase, to ensure the requirements of the project have been included in the construction documents and properly coordinatedResponsible for code compliance/approval, technical accuracy, and constructability while accomplishing design intentCollaborate with the Project Designer, Interior Designer, and/or Planner to develop construction documents that accomplish the design intentCollaborate with the Specification Writer to ensure that the technical requirements of the project are accomplishedThorough knowledge of building codes, zoning codes, environmental regulations, ADA requirements, and other pertinent laws and review processes.Code review and coordination with various code officials to ensure approvalsCollaboration/coordination with Engineers, Builders (CM’s, GC’s, Developers, Owner’s Representatives, etc., equipment vendors for proper and timely installationExperience: Minimum 5-10 years of project management experience in Health projects of varying types and complexities, with an approximate value of $5-$50 million in construction.Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in architecture; master’s degree preferred.Expertise: Strong understanding of PMP or PSMJ Project Management, preferred.Licensure: A professional license as a Registered Architect is requiredLeadership: Thorough knowledge of the entire project delivery process and ability to lead design efforts through all project stages, including leadership with the client, contractors, and internal teamCommunication: Collaborative communication style and strong people skills. Ability to represent and participate in interviews and client presentations.Travel: Willing to travel as projects or tasks require.Software Proficiency: Proficiency with CAD, REVIT, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Microsoft Word & Excel.
