The four cornerstones of Resident Services programming are Education, Economic Mobility, Health & Wellness, and Community Engagement.\r\nAbout the Job\r\nProgram Assistants play a crucial role in supporting after-school enrichment programs, including the Afterschool (k-5) and Teen Programs (6-12). Collaborating with the Resident Engagement Specialist on site, the Program Assistant will assist in the implementation of educational and recreational activities for children, youth, and parents in a multifamily apartment community.\r\nThis part-time position requires availability from approximatel y 2:00-8:00 pm 2 days a week and 2;00-6:00 pm twice a week (Monday-Thursday; ) and admin hours on Fridays during the APS academic year, on early release days program will start at 12pm. This position is full time for 6 weeks in the summer during summer camp.\r\nJob responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:\r\nPlanning and Implementing Programs\r\nAssists in planning and preparing materials for educational and recreational activities for children, youth, and parents.\r\nDuring Programs\r\nProvides a healthy snack for children in the Afterschool Program.\r\nAssists students with homework and to complete educational activities.\r\nOversees after-school activities for elementary and teen students.- taking the lead when other site staff are sick or on vacation\r\nMaintains good discipline by supporting a behavior management program.\r\n.\r\nMaintaining Community Spaces\r\nEnsures the community room is set up before and cleaned after the program.\r\nOther\r\nCollaborates willingly and cooperatively on tasks beyond regular duties.\r\nQualifications\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\r\nExperience and desire to work with elementary or secondary-aged children and teens.\r\nExperience with literacy or tutoring.\r\nSpanish fluency a plus.\r\nAbility to interact with a diverse population of students from varied economic and cultural backgrounds.\r\nSelf-motivated and mission driven.\r\nCollaborative work style with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds.\r\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Working at AHC\r\nThis part-time position requires availability from approximately 2:00-8:00 pm 2 days a week and 2;00-6:00 pm twice a week (Monday-Thursday;) and admin hours on Fridays\r\nAHC offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage; a health reimbursement account (HRA) for eligible employees; employer-paid life insurance; employer-paid short- and long-term disability coverage; health and dependent care flexible spending accounts (FSA); a 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching and discretionary contributions; voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, life and AD&D, identity theft, and legal coverage; transit and cellphone stipends; free parking; mental health support including an Employee Assistance Program (EAP); paid federal holidays, including time off during Christmas week; paid vacation and sick leave; and professional development opportunities.\r\nAHC is a drug-free workplace.
