The candidate will work in close coordination with other team members and departments to escalate customer issues throughout the enterprise and follow issues through resolution.\nAdditional duties include answering phones, responding to emails, opening tickets, and direct interaction with customers in a helpdesk and field services setting. Individual must be able to work both independently and work within a team.\n\nEssential Job Responsibilities\n\nMaintains smooth operation of local area, world wide and virtual private networks (VPN). Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.\n\nStrong customer focus, the ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities.\nWindows desktop operating systems (WIN10 and 11).\nExperience with patching Microsoft workstations.\nTechnical troubleshooting skills.\nStrong attention to detail.\nMust possess excellent oral and written communication skills.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\n4 years relevant experience with Associates in a related field OR\n2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR\n0 years relevant experience with Masters or PHD in related field OR\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.\nSecurity+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification.\nMust currently hold a US Secret security clearance.\n\nPreferred Requirements\n\nFamiliarity with VDI technologies and protocols.\nDesktop Focus is highly desired.\nExperience implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).\nJIRA incident and change management experience.\nCompTIA A+ desired\nCurrently possess or be able to obtain and maintain a US Top Secret/SCI security clearance.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nJob performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.\n\nHII is more than a job - it's an opportunity to build a new future.
