We're a 12-person team with four backend/infra engineers, and this is our first full-time DevOps hire. You'll own how our software gets from a merged PR to running reliably in production and in customer clouds. In-person role, and a one-person ops function to start.\r\nWhat you'll doOwn CI/CD: GitHub Actions building and deploying to GCP Cloud Run, AWS ECS Fargate, and Azure Container Apps with OIDC auth. Clean up duplicated workflows and build promotion and rollback we can trust.\r\nPut our terraform repo under CI: plan-on-PR, policy checks, drift detection, and a clear apply process across three clouds.\r\nMake customer deployments repeatable: turn per-customer AWS and Azure setup from a manual process into a one-command, monitored operation.\r\nBuild observability and on-call from scratch: alerting and paging across all three clouds, dashboards, and an incident process.\r\nOwn secrets management, IAM/access, vulnerability scanning follow-up, and cloud cost.\r\nAutomate the manual runbooks (some still tell you to run gcloud and psql by hand).\r\nWhat we're looking for5+ years running production infrastructure, owning CI/CD and releases at a previous company.\r\nStrong Terraform: modules, remote state, multi-account/multi-project setups.\r\nDepth in at least one of GCP, AWS, or Azure, and able to work in the other two. We use cloud-native container services — no Kubernetes needed.\r\nGitHub Actions (or similar) beyond the basics: reusable workflows, OIDC, matrix builds.\r\nComfortable scripting in Python or Bash, and enough SQL/Postgres to help during an incident.\r\nSomeone who likes ops work — faster deploys, fewer manual steps, quiet on-call — rather than seeing it as a step toward something else.\r\nNice to haveDeploying into customers' own cloud accounts (private-cloud / single-tenant).\r\nCloud IAM, vulnerability management, and security questionnaires.\r\nCost optimization you can point to.\r\nLogisticsFull-time, hybrid in-person, senior level.\r\nThe TeamOur founders are Angela Jiang (CMU PhD), an early product manager at OpenAI and led the launches of GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, and Deepak Vasisht (MIT PhD), a CS Professor at UIUC who has deployed cutting edge AI into industries spanning agriculture to space.
