LayerZero Power Systems is on a trajectory of sustained growth, with a loyal customer base of existing Fortune 100 customers and an expanding portfolio of new customers.\n\nPosition Description: Weld Fitter- 2nd Shift\nAt LayerZero Power Systems, LLC. The Weld Fitter is responsible for measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling metal parts and structures to prepare them for welding. The role requires strong blueprint reading skills, precision, and knowledge of metal fabrication processes.\n\nRequirements:\n\nPrimary Duties:\n\nRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.\nMeasure, mark, cut, and shape metal materials (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.).\nFit and align parts using clamps, fixtures, and hand tools.\nEnsure proper joint fit-up (gap, angle, and alignment) before welding.\nRivet fit components in place prior to final welding.\nInspect materials and assemblies for accuracy and quality.\nWork closely with welders to ensure specifications are met.\nFollow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.\nUse tools such as grinders, torches, saws, and measuring instruments.\n\nExperience & Skills:\n\nExperience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.\nStrong ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.\nKnowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core).\nExperience with structural steel, pipe, or plate fabrication.\nProficient with measuring tools (tape measure, squares, calipers).\nGood math skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPhysical ability to lift materials and work in industrial environments.\n\nEducation:\n\nHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent credentials.\nTrade school or apprenticeship experience.\nAWS or other welding-related certifications.\n\nWhy Join Us?
