As a member of the leadership team, this role provides hands-on support, coaching, and guidance to EVS staff while maintaining high standards of service, safety, and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily EVS operations, staffing, and work assignments to ensure adequate coverage and quality outcomesCollaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met across all hospital areasParticipate in interviewing, hiring, orientation, and onboarding of EVS staffCoach, mentor, and re-educate staff as needed to support performance and competency developmentMaintain knowledge of EVS Partner and Floor Tech functions and ensure staff competencies are up to dateRespond promptly to service requests and effectively deploy staff to meet operational needsEnforce safety rules, regulations, and infection prevention standardsSupport departmental and hospital quality improvement initiativesAssist with departmental goals, policies, procedures, capital planning, and organizational changesDemonstrate professionalism and provide service recovery in a courteous and timely mannerAssist with management of regulated waste (including CHMW), as assignedExceptional Skills And QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.One (1) year lead or supervisory experience in Environmental Services or similar field requiredStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on service excellence, safety, and continuous improvementAbility to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.Demonstrates customer service skills to provide exceptional patient and family experienceTakes initiative to help othersAbility to effectively manage a teamWhy Community?
