Male-In Home Caregiver - Part Time

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregivers near West Chicago, IL 60185 to provide essential support and care to individuals in their own homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the assistance they need while promoting independence and dignity. Ideal candidates will have experience in various medical settings, including geriatrics, emergency medicine, and outpatient care. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safe travel to appointments or social activities. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client care plans and progress. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition promptly. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as geriatrics or medical-surgical care is preferred. Knowledge of emergency medicine practices is a plus. Ability to work independently while following established care plans. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between client homes. CPR/First Aid certification is highly desirable. Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
