Systems Administrator

Solu is seeking a Systems Administrator with strong VMware infrastructure experience, including vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, VCF, and Log Insight. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of agency-wide network hardware and software.The ideal candidate should be capable of working collaboratively across teams while also demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.ResponsibilitiesDesign implementation administration and maintenance of agency wide network hardware and software.Administration of physical and virtual servers.Design, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems.Systems optimization, patch management, and lifecycle planning.Project management and meeting timeline deliverables.Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS administration.Data backup and recovery.Respond promptly to technical, system and/or emergency issues when contacted outside of scheduled work hours, remotely or in person as needed.Perform related work as required.Qualifications5 Years Experience in VMware administration5 Years Experience in networking systems administrationExperience with VmWare products of vSphere, vCenter, vSan, NSX, VCF, Log InsightExperience with administration of physical and virtual serversExperience with operating systems of Microsoft, Redhat, and Linux appliancesExperience with designing, implementing, and maintenance of complex systemsExperience with systems optimization, patch management, and lifecycle planningExperience with project management and meeting timeline deliverablesExperience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS administrationExperience with data backup and recoveryAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writingAbility to collaborate with peers, between teams, and stakeholdersResponds promptly to technical, system and/or emergency issues when contacted outside of scheduled work hours, remotely or in person as neededPerform related work as required
