Grade 20\nDuties and Responsibilities\nPlans, organizes, implements, and evaluates daily and seasonal leisure and recreational programs for both youth and adult populations, which includes: special events, youth, adult, and senior programs, youth and adult athletic leagues, and other recreational events.\nMaintains fields for sports programs.\nMaintains equipment for sports, making sure all supplies needed for each sport are available and in good shape. Orders equipment and supplies as necessary.\nMaintains program budget.\nCreates promotional marketing materials.\nRecruits and trains volunteers and coaches.\nManages event and sport registration.\nMaintains pool during and off-season.\nRecruits staff for front desk and concessions workers.\nKeeps all concessions stocked for the pool and other sports programs.\nHandles cash deposits.\nAssists in building operations and maintenance.\nGreets and assists members and visitors.\nAddresses inquiries, concerns, and complaints.\nEnforces rules and regulations of the facilities.\nDevelops and incorporates new programs as needed.\nSupervises support staff as necessary.\nPerforms other related job duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; seven (7) years directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree and at least one (1) year directly related experience preferred.\nLicenses or Certifications: Possession of a valid, State of North Carolina driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. Requirement exists at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment. Must possess CPR and First Aid Certification.
