A growing transportation and logistics organization is seeking experienced 1099 Freight Agents and Independent Freight Brokers to build and scale domestic and international freight business. This is a performance-driven opportunity for professionals who understand how to generate margin, control execution, and grow accounts independently.This is not a plug-and-play brokerage seat. The focus is on disciplined operators who understand freight economics, pricing strategy, and long-term account ownership.A book of business is preferred but not mandatory. Proven freight exposure is non-negotiable.Key ResponsibilitiesProspect, develop, and close new freight opportunities across domestic and international lanesBuild long-term customer relationships and expand wallet shareQuote freight lanes, negotiate carrier rates, and protect marginManage shipments cradle-to-grave or leverage internal operations supportCollaborate with carrier partners, steamship lines, airlines, and 3PL providersMaintain shipment visibility and accountability with customersOwn revenue performance, pipeline discipline, and long-term growth trajectoryRequirementsProven background in freight brokerage, freight forwarding, or asset-based logistics salesStrong understanding of freight lanes, capacity cycles, pricing strategy, and margin protectionAbility to self-generate business with minimal oversightComfortable operating independently within a 1099 structureHigh accountability and commercial maturityStrong negotiation and relationship management skillsPreferred ExperienceExisting book of businessMulti-modal exposure including FTL, LTL, drayage, air, or oceanEstablished carrier and customer relationships#J-18808-Ljbffr
