Drive innovation and efficiency in all aspects of mechanical engineering projects.\n\nDesigns, develops, prototypes, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.\n\nDevelops specifications for new parts or prototypes.\n\nIdentifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products.\n\nUse CAD software and other design and modeling tools to develop and improve parts and products.\n\nConducts analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products.\n\nRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.\n\nConfer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.\n\nResearch and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.\n\nConduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.\n\nDevelop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.\n\nInvestigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.\n\nDevelop or test models of alternate designs or processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability, operating condition effects, potential new applications, or necessity of modification.\n\nMaintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.\n\nMay be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.\n\nLearning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.\n\nSpecific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.\n\nExperience in off highway automation and/or autonomy.\n\nStrong experience with off highway vehicle electronics.\n\nWell-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.\n\nTeam player who is self-motivated and has the ability to work with minimal supervision.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.\n\nTravel may be necessary.\n\nUS Persons required for this position.\n\nEducation and Experience\n\nMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, in field related to specific position.\n\nEntry level or early career engineer 0-2 years with bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or master’s degree in engineering field.
