A rapidly growing global consumer products brand is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join its finance leadership team. This is a highly visible role focused on inventory accounting, inventory valuation, operational finance support, and building scalable processes within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys partnering cross-functionally with supply chain and operations teams, improving processes, and owning complex inventory accounting in a high-growth environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn inventory accounting across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, retail inventory, and in-transit inventory in a global environmentManage inventory valuation processes, landed costs, inventory reserves, and inventory aging analysisLead month-end close activities related to inventory, including reconciliations, journal entries, and inventory reportingPartner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Production, FP&A, and Distribution teams to improve visibility and operational decision-makingDrive process improvements and automation initiatives across inventory workflows and ERP systemsImprove reporting capabilities and KPI visibility for inventory movements, working capital, and operational performanceSupport external audits and maintain strong internal controls around inventory processesMentor and develop accounting team members while helping build scalable infrastructure for continued company growthQualifications8+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on inventory accounting in consumer products, retail, apparel, manufacturing, or CPG environmentsDeep understanding of inventory lifecycle accounting, inventory reconciliations, reserves, landed costs, and operational finance supportExperience working in high-growth, multi-entity organizations with international operations and cross-border inventory flowsAdvanced ERP experience required; NetSuite experience strongly preferredStrong Excel and analytical skillset with ability to work through large datasets and operational reportingProven ability to partner cross-functionally with operations and supply chain leadershipPrior public accounting experience is highly preferredCPA strongly preferredWhy This OpportunityHigh-impact leadership role with strong executive visibilityOpportunity to help build and scale accounting infrastructure within a growing global brandCollaborative and entrepreneurial environment with strong operational exposureSignificant opportunity for growth and advancement as the company continues expanding
