They play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the yard and supporting the overall functioning of a company or organization.\nCore Responsibilities:\nMaintain cleanliness and orderliness in the yard to include tracking inventory locations as required.\nSafe operation of equipment such as forklifts, Gantry cranes, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move, load, and unload materials within the yard.\nInventory Management: Keeping track of inventory within the yard is an essential part of the job. Yard persons may be responsible for monitoring stock levels, organizing and categorizing materials, and conducting regular inventory checks.\nMay also assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments.\nEnsure that all items and materials are properly stored and organized within the yard. This may involve arranging items on racking, stacking pallets, and labeling or marking containers.\nFollow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
