Job DescriptionPRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform abrasive blasting (sandblasting/shot blasting) to clean and prepare surfaces for coatingApply industrial coatings, paints, and protective finishes using spray equipmentMix coatings and maintain correct ratios per manufacturer requirementsInspect surfaces before and after blasting and coating for quality and complianceOperate and maintain blasting and painting equipmentMaintain proper coating thickness (DFT) using inspection toolsFollow work instructions, job travelers, and production schedulesMaintain clean and organized work areasComplete required documentation and inspection recordsComplete required documentation and inspection recordsOther duties as assigned.Help in assembly area prepping and moving partsAssist in weld shop grinding chokes as neededOperate forklift/pallet jackOperate overhead cranePerform other work-related tasks as assignedEducation & Experience QualificationsHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED) required2 years in a manufacturing environmentPhysical/Non-physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and communicate effectively through speech and hearingThe employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlThe employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on occasionVision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusWhile performing job duties, the employee may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and industrial vehiclesThe noise level in the work environment is typically moderateCOMPETITIVE BENEFITS: (visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.Competitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
