Bechtel Nuclear, Security & Environmental (NS&E) is on the Northrop Grumman Corp. team preparing to deliver the U.S. Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) system of inter-continental ballistic missiles and launch infrastructure. GBSD is a vital U.S. Air Force program designed to modernize the nation’s aging force of inter-continental ballistic missiles, which make up the ground element of the nuclear deterrent. As part of the Northrop Grumman GBSD nationwide team, Bechtel will provide launch system design, construction, and integration.\n\nDetailed Description:\nEssential duties include locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations.\nCandidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.\nWork closely with layout personnel and pipe stress and other support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.\nCoordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.\nPrior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.\n\nPosition Requirements:\nUS Citizenship Required.\nLevel 1: Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 1 year of related experience.\nLevel 2: Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 years of related experience.\nUS citizenship is required per contract requirement.\nPossess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.\nGood knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards.\nPrior experience using structural analysis programs.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nEIT certification or PE registration.\nPrior experience using pipe support analysis programs GT STRUDL.\nPrior experience using Pipe Support Modeling software.\nPrevious Bechtel project experience.\nPrevious DOD/DOE project experience.\n\n***All candidates selected will be subject to a security background investigation/Drug Screening and must meet all eligibility requirements. ***\nCraig Technologies is an EEO Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or any other non-job-related protected status.
