This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will oversee U.S. accounting staff, implement best practices, and drive process improvements across domestic financial operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and able to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment. While the company operates internationally, this position's primary focus is on United States operations, reporting, and compliance.\r\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\r\nOversee daily U.S. accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll oversight, general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.\r\nPrepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP, specifically for U.S. entities and operations.\r\nMaintain internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards applicable to U.S. jurisdictions.\r\nDevelop, document, and enforce accounting policies and procedures for domestic operations.\r\nAssist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning for U.S. business activities.\r\nManage cash flow processes and support banking, tax, and insurance activities related to U.S. operations.\r\nLead, train, and mentor accounting staff; oversee performance and development of the U.S.-based accounting team.\r\nIdentify and implement efficiency improvements in accounting systems and workflows across domestic operations.\r\nSupport external audits and act as the primary liaison to auditors for U.S. financial statements.\r\nREQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\r\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\r\nActive CPA license (preferred).\r\n5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.\r\n2+ years of experience in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.\r\nStrong knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices.\r\nExperience managing or supervising accounting staff.\r\nAdvanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.\r\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\r\nExcellent communication and leadership ability.\r\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\r\nExperience in technical services, manufacturing, or similar industries.\r\nFamiliarity with ERP system implementation or optimization.\r\nTOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED\r\nPersonal computer, including MS Office, HRIS and business software; motor vehicle, telephone, cell phone, laptop and appropriate safety equipment. Must have a valid driver's license by date of hire.\r\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\r\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
