Indirect Procurement Manager

This position will have direct accountability for indirect spend across Winland sites in the United States and Canada. Reporting to the Director of Indirect Procurement, the position is responsible for strategic sourcing activities for Winland’s Indirect Materials and Services spend, with the goal of achieving significant cost reductions, while maintaining/improving product quality and vendor service levels. Employee Type: Full time Location: IL Oak Brook Job Type: Supply Chain Procurement Job Posting Title: Indirect Procurement Manager Job Description: Role and responsibilities: Oversees and executes activities related to procurement of indirect materials and services, from intent to purchase through to delivery of project Manages vendor selection and negotiation process for indirect vendors Identifies, selects, and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a competitive price while meeting Winland’s Supplier Code of Conduct Prepare and review proposal requests, contracts, bids, and agreements for correctness of terms and prices, and acceptability of specifications Communicates actively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and performance management of the category Ensures categories are contracted in line with the sourcing strategy Directly solves operational issues with indirect vendors Reviews and resolves indirect vendor claims and contracts for conformance Prepares and issues purchase contracts and change notices Ensures alignment with Procurement strategies and ways of working (where applicable) Understands the impact of long-term running cost and the engagement of business to minimize costs at an early stage Determine and implement KPIs that can be used to measure Indirect spend performance Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of indirect procurement experience is required Experience with both corporate and plant level materials and services is highly preferred Experience with developing procurement strategies at the category level Successful, multi-year (+5 years) track record within Manufacturing Industry Project Management experience is highly preferred Procure to Pay transformation experience is desired Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or Food Science Limited travel may be required Required Skills/Abilities: Experience analyzing and improving complex supply chain data, information and processes High-level understanding of all aspects of indirect supply chain processes Excellent interpersonal written and speaking skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills Strong critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complexity and ambiguity High degree of professionalism and a strong sense of ownership Independently motivated and autonomous; ability to make things happen Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) Familiarity and general aptitude for ERP systems (SAP) is preferred EEO Statement: Winland Foods believes that diversity and inclusion among our teammates is critical to our success as a global company, and we seek to recruit develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool.
