Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.\nSkills and Experience At least two years of proven manufacturing supervision experience.\nExcellent communication skills, written and verbal.\nExcellent and proven reasoning ability.\nGood mathematical skills.\nEssential Duties Serve as direct supervisor resource to engage team daily, ensuring adherence to production schedule while maintaining a safe work environment and the lowest possible cost.\nEnsure proper work methods are used and all activities are performed safely.\nEnsure adherence to all quality procedures.\nAnalyze work orders to determine the need for supplies and sequence of operation.\nCoordinate flow of materials through manufacturing processes.\nEnsure proper training of workers in the operation and adjustment of machines and equipment.\nEnsure proper examination of yarn and carpets during processing to verify conformance to specifications and to prevent defects.\nAdjust resource utilization to meet production schedule.\nEnsure adherence to company policies, procedures, and systems.\nEnforce company, plant and departmental safety regulations.\nInterpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assign duties.\nRecommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.\nAnalyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.\nInitiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.\nRecommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.\nOversee training of new employees.\nMaintain time and production records.\nMay estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.\nMay confer with other supervisors of other departments to coordinate activities.\nConduct performance appraisals.\nInitiate the hiring process.\nMaintain housekeeping.\nComply with safety rules.\nComply with environmental regulations.\nBe aware of Departmental Safety Data Sheets (SDS).\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nPhysical Demands Light physical work. Considerable walking. Considerable standing.\nWork Environment Non‑climate controlled manufacturing environment.
