You will have a direct impact on product success by driving manufacturability, mitigating risks, and enabling seamless product launches at scale.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\nLead end-to-end NPI efforts, translating product designs into scalable, high-quality manufacturing solutions in a customer-centric Utilities & Energy environment.\n\nPartner collaboratively with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure strong DFM/DFA/DFT and production readiness.\n\nPlan and execute prototype builds and pilot runs, identifying risks and resolving issues with an agile and accountable approach.\n\nDevelop and standardize manufacturing processes, work instructions, inspection plans, and validation protocols.\n\nConduct FMEA/PFMEA, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reliability.\n\nAlign with global suppliers and contract manufacturers to support material readiness and production ramps.\n\nManage product lifecycle activities including BOMs, variants, and ECO/MCO changes using PLM/ERP systems.\n\nDrive value engineering, cost optimization, and adoption of innovative manufacturing technologies (automation, Industry 4.0).\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.\n\n5+ years of NPI, sustaining, or manufacturing engineering experience.\n\nExperience with BOM creation, configuration management, and PLM/ERP systems.\n\nStrong knowledge of DFM/DFA/DFT, process development, and manufacturing scale-up.\n\nProficiency in FMEA/PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why).\n\nExperience working with cross-functional teams and global contract manufacturers.\n\nTechnical proficiency in:\n\nNPI phase-gate processes, process validation, GR&R, and capacity planning\n\nLean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement\n\nData analysis and tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python)\n\nPLM, ERP, MES systems; Minitab/JMP; Visio/process mapping tools\n\nCAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD); Jira/Azure DevOps\n\nDemonstrated ability to work in an authentic, inclusive, and collaborative environment.\n\nPreferred Skills & Experience\n\nMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.\n\n8+ years of NPI or manufacturing engineering experience in electronics or high-reliability products.\n\nCertifications such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt).\n\nExperience with advanced quality tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC).\n\nExposure to automation, robotics, vision systems, and Industry 4.0 technologies.\n\nProven ability to lead complex product ramps and influence cross-functional teams with an innovative and customer-focused mindset.\n\nBenefits Info: This position also includes a competitive benefit package including: financial, social, health and wellbeing programs, paid vacation, 401k matching, employee stock purchase program, hybrid work schedule, and more!\n\nItron is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce and providing an authentic workplace experience for all employees.\n\nThe successful candidate's starting wage will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.\n\nItron is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
