Maintenance Lead
Job Position: Machine Maintenance Lead Location: Saxonburg, PA 16056 Pay Rate: $26.00+/hr Depending on Experience Schedule: 8am-4pm- Monday- Friday Job Summary : The Maintenance Lead is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily maintenance activities, supporting equipment reliability, and guiding maintenance technicians through safe and effective work practices. This role serves as the technical and functional lead on shift, balancing hands-on maintenance work with team oversight, troubleshooting support, and communication with Production leadership. This position is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys mentoring others, improving processes, and ensuring equipment uptime in a manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Leadership & Coordination Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for Maintenance Technicians on shiftAssign and prioritize maintenance work orders to support production needsProvide guidance, training, and technical support to maintenance team membersCommunicate equipment status, priorities, and issues with Production leadershipSupport onboarding and skill development of new maintenance team members Maintenance & Technical Support Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsLead preventative maintenance activities to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifeSupport equipment startups, shutdowns, and production changeoversAssist with equipment tear-downs, rebuilds, and installationsEnsure spare parts inventory, tools, and documentation are maintainedSafety & Compliance Enforce safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and best practicesLead by example in maintaining a strong safety cultureEnsure maintenance activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirementsParticipate in safety audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives Required:High school diploma or GEDStrong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance backgroundDemonstrated experience troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipmentAbility to read basic schematics, manuals, and maintenance documentationExperience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasksStrong communication, teamwork, and leadership skillsAbility to prioritize work in a fast-paced production environmentMust pass a client specific background checkMust pass a drug screen Preferred:Previous experience in a Maintenance Lead, Senior Technician, or supervisory roleManufacturing or industrial maintenance experienceExposure to preventative maintenance programsTechnical certifications, trade school, or military maintenance experience We encourage candidates with non-traditional backgrounds, hands-on experience, military training, or transferable skills to apply.
