DescriptionOverview of the RoleThe Platform Developer Experience team is responsible for building tooling that developers use to create integrations for Slack. We are a group of generalists who are comfortable working across languages, and we are actively involved in the GitHub community where we share updates and respond to developer feedback.We are looking for a Staff Full-Stack Engineer who is passionate about crafting a phenomenal developer experience for all developers building on the Slack Platform. With Agentforce woven into every layer of our platform, our engineers build intelligent systems that automate the repetitive, elevate the strategic, and power better decisions at scale.This role is based in our Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA offices in a hybrid work environment.ResponsibilitiesPartner with Product Managers and Designers to ideate, build, and launch new features for our developer ecosystemBuild and ship high-quality, production-grade software using modern engineering practices, with AI as a core part of your development workflowDesign and orchestrate complex systems where AI agents integrate seamlessly into human workflows, driving efficiency and innovation at scaleMentor engineers and provide thoughtful, in-depth code reviews, and support production excellence by partnering with Customer Experience teams to triage and resolve issuesRequired Qualifications7+ years of professional experience building and shipping web applications and developer tooling, with proficiency in JavaScript (JS), TypeScript, and PythonHands-on experience with API design and development, including an understanding of what it takes to build library-level code, not just application-level codeExperience using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor) in development workflows, with strong prompt engineering skills and a genuine AI-first approach to engineeringStrong communication skills, a positive attitude, empathy for the developers you serve, and a desire to continually improvePreferred QualificationsExperience with Hack and XHP (a component-based templating language)Experience with Java or GoExperience with web analytics, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and data-driven optimizationExperience building Slack AppsFor roles in San Francisco and Los Angeles: Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Unleash Your PotentialWhen you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life.
