{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"88ee1515b045897af7884d68","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/88ee1515b045897af7884d68","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/88ee1515b045897af7884d68","title":"Structures Tech 1- Flexjet Technical Services (EMS)","description":"Recognized as the global leader in aircraft and component remanufacturing, Flexjet Technical Services (EMS) has redefined the business aviation industry by using reimagined engineering and production capabilities to transform used business aircraft into new modern airframes.\nThis position is located in Cleveland, OH.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nLayout, fabricate, assemble, mate, install, check or troubleshoot and repair production and prototype aircraft structures, parts and mechanical assemblies\nRead and interpret information from mechanical/structural, blueprints, planning, process specifications, diagrams, engineering drawings and sketches, and other instructions to determine the methods and sequence of operations to layout, assemble, and install precision parts and assemblies\nLayout coordinated hole patterns, cutouts, trim lines, mating points, assembly and installation locations using precision measuring instruments and equipment\nAssemble and mate aircraft parts and assemblies\nAttach structural parts and assemblies using riveting and hand and power tools, hand trim and finish\nDrill, route, ream, countersink, spot-face and counter bore parts\nModify or rebuild parts to mold line or configuration changes\nModify aircraft structure, installation and mechanical systems in accordance with engineering requirements\nPerform experimental and developmental work operations on experimental aircraft or assemblies\nAssemble prefabricated parts into assemblies and mate major sections of aircraft assemblies\nIncorporate major engineering changes and modifications\nPresent a clean and neat work area to customers\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS\nMinimum of three (3) years heavy structural experience\nHigh school graduate or equivalent\nMinimum of five (5) year's experience with various types of aircraft, power plant maintenance and inspections\nWorking knowledge of rigging and installation of operating mechanisms structures, assemblies and parts, related systems and equipment, and assembly shop practices\nRequires excellent communication skills\nAbility to work in a team environment\nAbility to effectively coordinate with multiple departments\nPlanning and organizational skills necessary\nComputer experience in Microsoft Office software products\nMust have valid driver's license, ability to achieve airport SIDA badge status\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
