{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"88df2dfd86aedead12d44be4","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/88df2dfd86aedead12d44be4","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/88df2dfd86aedead12d44be4","title":"Phlebotomist 2","description":"Job Summary\nThis role is responsible for executing the plasmapheresis process by performing venipunctures.\nThis is What You’ll Do\nEnsure total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations (e.g. FDA approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP) to maintain the highest production standards and ensure facility compliance.\nMaintain high level of customer service and positive donor experience in line with company values and culture.\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, stock adequate supplies, report all unsafe situations and conditions to management, and perform First-In-First-Out inventory tasks\nReview and confirm donor identification, monitor donor conditions, and uphold donor confidentiality to ensure safety, comfort, and product quality.\nSet up and prepare all equipment and disposable supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedure; maintain proper collection ratios and accurately label units and samples.\nExecute venipunctures and plasma collection, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.\nOperate automated plasmapheresis machines, respond to alarms, troubleshoot alerts, document exceptions, and manage donor adverse events.\nDisconnect donors and manage biohazard waste disposal between procedures, including cleaning spills and handling contaminated equipment in accordance with the safety protocols\nPerform daily, weekly, and monthly calibration/maintenance of automated plasmapheresis machines and remove and/or replace equipment from service, if needed.\nMaintains accurate and thorough documentation of necessary records, including Plasmapheresis Machine Logs.\nMentor and train team members as a Designated Trainer, driving training efficiencies to ensure timeliness and compliance.\nResponsible for troubleshooting machine alarms/alerts and perform QCs routinely (defined as daily/monthly) and periodic (defined as quarterly/annually) on equipment.\nPartner with Quality Assurance on donor floor performance, including favorable performance observations, CAPA implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nPerofrm other duties as assigned.\nThis is What it Takes\nMinimum Requirements\nHigh school diploma, or equivalent (GED).\nThree (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.\nCompleted documentation of training appropriate for duties, prior to performing duties independently.\n\nRequired Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations\nAny specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong customer service and communication skills.\nAbility to understand and follow written and verbal protocol required.\nBasic computer knowledge and skills required.\nAbility to make accurate and complete documentation.\nAbility to read and interpret documents, such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals required.\nAbility to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.\nDemonstrated consistency and reliability (good attendance, punctuality, apply full effort throughout shift, flexibility with assigned schedule) required.\nAbility to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis required.\nAbility to perform venipuncture required.\nAbility to collaborate and adapt.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit or stand for extended periods.\nAbility to tug, lift, and pull up to thirty-five (35) pounds.\nAbility to bend, stoop, or kneel.\nAbility to utilize all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).\nOccupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.\nAbility to view video display terminal less than 18” away from face for extended periods.\nAbility to enter an environment with a temperature of -40C according to Standard Operating Procedures.\nAbility to perform precise tasks that require repetitive small motor skills, such as drawing blood for diagnostic tests.\nAbility to use assistive devices if needed for mobility or communication.\nAbility to use a computer and other office equipment.\nAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.\nAbility to focus and concentrate on tasks for extended periods.\nAbility to navigate the office environment safely, including stairs and elevators (if applicable).\nAbility to travel up to 20% via airplane and vehicle (if applicable).\nDo Satisfying Work.
