This position will consistently demonstrate a sense of visual storytelling through editing, shot selection, continuity management, and appropriate use of visual effects.\nCore Functions\nEdit and create short- and long-form commercial and social media work tightly integrated with other related media.\nEffectively tell stories through clear, narrative scene selection and combination, while assisting in script concepting and development.\nCollaborate with videographer(s) and producer(s) through all phases of video production (and all other post-production tasks which includes reviewing footage, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing using Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and/or other industry standard software).\nTranscode media, convert files and post during edit sessions, quality check video/spots, upload finished content to YouTube, Vimeo, etc.\nResponsible for implementing and delivering assets to broad stakeholders via a DAM or other standardized means.\nQualifications & Requirements\nEducation and Experience\nBA/BS/BFA degree in film studies, cinematography, motion graphics, design, or related field preferred.\n3+ years of professional experience possessing excellent editing and technical skills\nExperience working with 4K workflows.\nExperience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, After Effects, etc.)\nExperience with marketing software preferred.\nExperience using DaVinci Resolve preferred.\nSkills, Abilities, And Knowledge\nDemonstrated ability to tell compelling stories through editing.\nKnowledge of sound design and editing.\nClear communication with the team regarding project status and needs.\nAbility to follow established brand guidelines for type, logos, color, end frame treatments, etc.\nAbility to use basic office computer skills.\nWell versed in color grading, the use of LUTs, and log footage.\nDemonstrate an understanding of digital/broadcast deliverables, transcoding, file formats, aspect ratio conversions, file compressions, etc.\nTravel\nMinimal travel required.\nCOMPETENCIES\n– Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.\n– Displays original thinking and creativity; Meets challenges with resourcefulness; Generates suggestions for improving work; Develops innovative approaches and ideas.\n– Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.\n– Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.\n– Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to other views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Puts success of team above own interests; Supports everyone’s efforts to succeed.\nSupervisor Responsibilities\nThis position is an Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.\nPhysical Requirements\nThis position is subject to Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time.
