{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"88d649c678ce080fbbd1a1d8","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/88d649c678ce080fbbd1a1d8","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/88d649c678ce080fbbd1a1d8","title":"2nd Shift Machine Operator","description":"Machine Operators WantedOur Plymouth manufacturing facility is growing, and we are looking for dependable, energetic Machine Operators who want to be part of a fast-paced production environment focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and measurable results.\r\nAs production continues to ramp up, our Machine Operators will play an important role in helping us build reliable processes, reduce downtime, improve output, and consistently produce quality products.\r\nWe are looking for individuals who don't simply operate equipment--they pay attention to how the line is performing, recognize problems early, and take pride in achieving production goals.\r\nJob ResponsibilitiesMachine Operators are responsible for safely and effectively operating assigned production equipment while monitoring performance, quality, and production results.\r\nResponsibilities include:\r\nSet up, operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment\r\nFollow established operating procedures and standardized work\r\nComplete required equipment checks at startup and throughout the shift\r\nMonitor machine and line performance against established production goals\r\nTrack or communicate key operational measurements such as: Production output, Run rates, Downtime, Waste, Quality defects, Yield, Efficiency\r\nRecognize when equipment or production performance is outside expected standards\r\nMake appropriate adjustments within established operating parameters\r\nEscalate maintenance, quality, or production concerns promptly\r\nComplete changeovers and product transitions as assigned\r\nPerform basic troubleshooting and identify potential equipment problems\r\nComplete required production and quality documentation accurately\r\nSupport line employees and work collaboratively with Line Leads and production leadership\r\nFollow food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements\r\nParticipate in training using standardized work, Job Instruction, TWI, or similar methods\r\nHelp maintain a clean, safe, organized production environment\r\nParticipate in continuous improvement activities designed to reduce downtime, waste, and production variation\r\nCommunicate clearly during shift handoffs to ensure continuity between production teams\r\nQualificationsStrong candidates will have:\r\nPrevious experience operating manufacturing, packaging, food production, or industrial equipment preferred\r\nMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment\r\nStrong attention to detail\r\nAbility to follow standardized processes and operating instructions\r\nComfort working with production goals, measurements, and performance expectations\r\nAbility to recognize when something does not look, sound, or perform correctly\r\nStrong reliability and attendance\r\nA positive, team-oriented approach\r\nAbility to work effectively in a changing and growing manufacturing environment\r\nAbility to communicate concerns and ask questions when additional support is needed\r\nBasic computer, tablet, or production data-entry skills\r\nLanguage SkillsFor 2nd Shift Machine Operators, bilingual Spanish/English capability is strongly preferred and will be especially valuable when working with production teams, supporting training, and communicating operational expectations.\r\nIdeal Candidate TraitsYou'll likely enjoy this role if you:\r\nLike working with equipment and understanding how things work\r\nTake pride in hitting production goals\r\nPay attention to details others sometimes miss\r\nWant to know the numbers behind how your machine or line is performing\r\nEnjoy troubleshooting and solving problems\r\nStay positive when production priorities change\r\nUnderstand the importance of consistency and standardized work\r\nWant to be part of a growing operation where your ideas and performance can make a visible difference\r\nWhy Join Us?This is an opportunity to join a manufacturing operation during an important period of growth.
