Based in SoHo, NYC, we're assembling a lean, high-performance team committed to reducing wealth inequality.For more information, visit Basic Capital's website.You willBe the founding member of the Data & Reporting team, building the data infrastructure and analytics capabilities that power Basic Capital's business intelligence, compliance, and customer communicationsDesign and build data pipelines that transform raw operational data into actionable insights for business stakeholdersOwn the automation of critical compliance reporting, notices, and regulatory submissionsDevelop and maintain customer-facing reporting systems including monthly account statements, performance analytics, and portfolio insightsBuild and maintain our data warehouse infrastructure, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organizationParticipate in architecture discussions, planning, and code reviews across the stackRequired CompetenciesStrong experience with data pipeline development and ETL/ELT workflowsProficiency with SQL and experience designing data models for analytics and reportingExperience with modern data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data transformation tools (e.g., dbt)Experience with data visualization tools and building dashboards (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Hex, Metabase)Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, especially for compliance-critical use casesProficiency in any of the following: Kotlin, Rust, Java, Go, C/C++, Python, Ruby, or TypeScriptExperience with modern build systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)Preferred CompetenciesExperience in fintech or early-stage technology companiesUnderstanding of financial data, ledgers, and accounting principlesExperience working in Kotlin backendsExperience with Temporal for asynchronous workflow orchestrationCultural FitPassionate about solving big social problems with pragmatic solutionsAptitude for complexity and curiosity for financial marketsEnjoys learning new technologies and selecting the right tool for each jobAdaptable and open to contributing across the tech stack as the team evolvesAutonomous, high agency, accountable, and thrives in a fast-paced environmentStrong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively in cross-functional teamsExcited to be a part of an in-office teamJ-18808-Ljbffr
