For information on our international network visit www.colas.com.\nCompensation Data\n$36.38 per hour\nJob Summary\nOperates the specific vehicles used for the transport of products and the extraction of materials from the material production sites (quarries, etc..) in observance of the safety guidelines.\nMain Responsibilities\nComplete Daily pre/post equipment inspections - report as needed.\nEnsure areas under your scope of responsibility remain in environmental compliance and complete any needed environmental reports.\nEnsure fill is placed in accordance with Fill Operating Plan (FOP) and regulatory guidelines.\nEnsure site remains follows all MSHA, OSHA and EPA standards.\nInspect equipment prior to shift for safety, environmental and maintenance defects.\nInspect wear items on equipment & report as needed to shop, foreman, and management.\nLoad hoppers and trucks with limited spillage.\nOther duties as assigned.\nSkills\nFor Excavators - Capable of setting and loading trucks efficiently to optimize production and be able of using rock breaker and/or processor attachments.\nFor Dozers - Capable of carrying a flat grade and adapt to fluctuating terrain including steep slopes. Be able to finish slopes with a slope board.\nFor Loaders - Has the ability to minimize overloading of customer’s trucks and remaining complaint with DOT weight restrictions.\nAbility to understand and follow Employee Handbook and Safety Policies.\nFollow oral and written plans and directions.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to use hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require.\nAbility to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need emerge.\nAbility to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the requirement emerge.\nAbility to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday.\nColas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
