Humanim","description":"This position is located in Columbia, Maryland with other locations in surrounding counties throughout central and southern Maryland.\nThis role follows a hybrid work model, combining community‑based, in‑person services with remote responsibilities such as documentation, data review, care coordination, and virtual consultation when appropriate and allowable under DDA requirements.\nThe position integrates MANDT System principles to promote relationship‑based support, emotional regulation, crisis prevention, and safety for individuals and staff.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nBehavioral Assessment & Intervention\nConduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and other required clinical assessments in accordance with DDA and Medicaid waiver requirements, utilizing in‑person and approved virtual methods as appropriate.\nDevelop, implement, and revise Person‑Centered Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) incorporating Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) and MANDT principles.\nEnsure all interventions emphasize prevention, skill development, dignity, and least‑restrictive alternatives, avoiding prohibited or aversive practices.\nCollect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to inform clinical decision‑making and improve outcomes and quality of life.\nSafety‑Based Practices\nApply MANDT System principles, including building healthy relationships, emotional response management, and crisis de‑escalation.\nSupport staff in identifying precursors to behavioral escalation and implementing preventive and proactive strategies aligned with BSPs.\nProvide guidance during behavioral incidents consistent with approved BSPs, Humanim policies, and DDA regulations.\nTraining, Coaching & Oversight\nTrain and coach Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), supervisors, and families on BSP implementation and MANDT‑aligned strategies, both in person and through virtual platforms when appropriate.\nObserve residential, day, vocational, and community settings to ensure fidelity of implementation and safety.\nParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings, person‑centered planning, and clinical reviews, including virtual meetings as applicable.\nDocumentation & Compliance\nComplete timely, accurate documentation, including assessments, BSPs, progress notes, data summaries, and waiver service reports.\nUtilize remote work time for documentation, data analysis, plan development, and required reporting.\nEnsure compliance with Maryland DDA standards, Medicaid waiver requirements, HIPAA, and Humanim policies.\nMaintain required professional licensure, certification, and training documentation.\nCollaboration & Advocacy\nCollaborate with care coordinators, nurses, therapists, families, and external providers through a combination of in‑person and virtual communication.\nAdvocate for individuals’ rights, choice, self‑direction, and community inclusion.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\nBCBA certification in good standing with the BACB and/or\nMaryland Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) (or eligibility with active pursuit of licensure)\nMaster’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field\nExperience providing behavior support services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities\nMANDT System certification (current) or willingness to obtain within the required timeframe\nKnowledge of Positive Behavior Supports, trauma‑informed care, and crisis prevention\nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation for in‑person service delivery\nAbility to meet DDA and Humanim background screening requirements\nPreferred\nExperience working under Maryland DDA waivers, particularly the Community Pathways Waiver\nExperience training staff in crisis prevention or de‑escalation models\nExperience supporting adults with complex behavioral or medical needs\nFamiliarity with electronic documentation and data tracking systems\n\nPhysical & Work Environment Requirements\nHybrid work environment, including:\nCommunity‑based settings such as homes, day programs, and workplaces\nRemote work for documentation, planning, consultation, and administrative tasks\nAbility to observe, move within, and actively participate in service environments\nAbility to model and coach safe behavioral support practices consistent with MANDT training\nCompensation & Benefits\nCompetitive compensation based on credentials and experience\nMedical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits (for eligible employees)\nPaid time off and holidays\nProfessional development and continuing education support, including MANDT and clinical training\nFlexible scheduling within a hybrid work model\nMission‑driven, collaborative work environment\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nHumanim, Inc. is committed to equity, inclusion, and respect for all.
