Dispatch FT Fresno

The Dispatcher reports to the station and operations manager. The Dispatcher supports the operations department by schedule drivers to make deliveries and recoveries of freight from customers or businesses. The dispatcher communicates with drivers and clients regarding details about shipments, arrange pick up times and discuss any special handling issues. The Dispatcher may also set up driver routes. In addition, dispatchers review drivers logs and maintain various records, such as those pertaining to dispatched calls, vehicle repair, freight bills, and arrival times. This is a safety sensitive position that falls on federal security and drug regulations. 1-2 years prior experience in a similar position. Basic understanding of TSA and DOT regulations as they pertain to handling of freight. Understands customer service and is able to provide consistent quality service. Knowledge of standard office procedures, practices, and skill in performing clerical work. Familiar with computers and MS Office suite. Detail orientated with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to effectively communicate in English; verbally and in writing. REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to pass and participate in a DOT regulated drug screen program. Ability to successfully pass a TSA background check. Class C Drivers license preferred with clear driving record. REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age.
