Facilities Operations Lead - Supervisory Role in Maintenance & Repair

DescriptionThe role involves overseeing facility operations and requires a candidate with a proven background in facilities operations, maintenance, or a related field, along with supervisory experience. You will supervise a team of facilities technicians, ensuring tasks are assigned and performance is monitored.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years' experience as an Operations & Maintenance Specialist or completion of an apprenticeship program.A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in facilities operations or maintenance.In-depth knowledge of maintenance fundamentals and ability to handle various service and repair issues.Familiarity with trades and skills in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Strong problem-solving, decision-making abilities, and proactive issue identification.Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.Must have physical capability for basic maintenance tasks, including climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs., etc.Availability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.Required to possess a valid driver's license and pass a thorough background check.Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification is necessary.Knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations is required.Working understanding of Metasys (BMS) and low voltage control systems is a plus.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and guide a team of facilities technicians; assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback.Prioritize and coordinate work orders and maintenance activities for timely completion.Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.Execute repairs for HVAC, Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, and electrical systems, among others.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and foster a culture of safety.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory management.Collaborate with external contractors for maintenance and renovations.Stay updated on industry trends and technologies for continuous improvement in operations.Service and adjust HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters.Provide direction and training to less experienced Operations & Maintenance Specialists.Plan and lay out required materials for service, repair, and preventive maintenance.Employment Type: Full-Time
