Platform Architect | Permanent | No Sponsorship Available | Hybrid - Requires 3 days per week in Madison, WIABOUT OUR CLIENTThe company is financially sound, yet their success is not just defined by their profits; it's about living their core values.Ton of opportunity for growth and providing a better place to live and work!The company boasts a team-oriented culture and provides its employees with the tools and training necessary to perform.Huge Employee Perks!BENEFITS & COMPENSATIONCompensation: Up to $155,000 per year + Bonus opportunityPTO: Competitive time-off packageRetirement: Company-sponsored retirement planMedical: Health, vision, and dental plans available for individuals and familiesRESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE PLATFORM ARCHITECTDefine end-to-end architecture for cloud-hosted applications across AWS and Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiencyDesign reference architectures and standards for microservices, serverless, data platforms, and integration workloadsLead selection and adoption of core platform services including compute, storage, networking, observability, and CI/CD toolingArchitect shared platform capabilities such as landing zones, internal developer platforms, and golden pathsPartner with security teams to embed security-by-design principles including identity management, encryption, and compliance controlsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams while evangelizing cloud-native best practicesPREFERRED EXPERIENCE FOR THE PLATFORM ARCHITECT8+ years in software engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps with 3-5+ years in cloud architecture rolesDeep hands-on expertise with AWS or Azure, including advanced knowledge of core servicesStrong background designing cloud-native applications using microservices, containers, and serverless architecturesExtensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelinesSolid understanding of data platforms, API design, event-driven architectures, and integration patternsProfessional cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) strongly preferredTiming is everything.
