Embark on a rewarding assignment as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, where you'll support physicians and advanced practice providers with a variety of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. This position is ideal for those dedicated to patient safety, clinical excellence, and collaboration in fast-paced healthcare environments.Qualifications: Valid R.T.(R) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)OR one of the following advanced credentials: R.T.(VI), R.T.(CV), R.T.(CI), or RCIS Preferably 1-2 years of experience in interventional radiology or related imaging modalities Commitment to sterile technique and patient-centered care Strong communication and teamwork skills Schedule: 13-week contract assignment May be scheduled 36 or 48 hours per week, with flexibility Key Responsibilities: Assist with minimally invasive procedures such as injections, angiography, biopsies, tube placements, and thrombolysis, ensuring a sterile environment throughout Review patient charts, validate exam orders, and confirm eligibility-especially concerning medication and NPO status Conduct thorough interviews to assess medical history, implanted devices, or potential contrast allergies Clearly explain procedures to patients and provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure care and education Operate, maintain, and adjust imaging equipment, adhering to guidelines for optimal image acquisition Monitor patient vital signs and respond appropriately to emergencies, including delivering Basic Life Support when needed Manage and prepare all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications for cases Administer contrast media under supervision, when applicable, and monitor for adverse reactions Uphold radiation protection best practices (ALARA) for patient and staff safety Accurately document procedures in PACS/EMR systems and ensure secure image storage/retrieval Collaborate closely with radiologists and the broader healthcare team Elevate your career in a dynamic environment where your expertise makes a difference daily.
