This position will support the Operations/Engineering Manager while serving as a change agent to help improve overall communication, project execution, and efficiency within Engineering.\n\nDay-To-Day Responsibilities:\n\nSupport the local office Engineering Management as an SME and escalation resource in coordination with local Operations Management.\nProvide leadership and guidance to local engineering team.\nShare, teach and reinforce the use of AVI-SPL standard practice across the team.\nCoaches and motivates team members to successfully perform job requirements and to meet and exceed goals and objectives.\nRegularly communicate by using but not limited to, daily huddles with the engineering team to ensure consistency and to ensure timely and accurate completion of engineering tasks\nLead the engineering team with a positive attitude that is in alignment with teamwork, mission, vision, and values of the organization\nSupport leadership with establishing departmental goals, objectives and operating procedure\nFrequent spot checks of teams work to ensure accuracy and adherence to all company standards\nLead lessons learned meetings as necessary\nReview pre-construction design and documentation, technical design, and pricing as needed\nMeet with vendors and prospective vendors to help evaluate products and be a customer liaison for engineering inquires and post sales project consultation\nReview project designs created by internal and external resources\nReview hour estimation for work based on needs analysis, scope of work and bid requirements\nRemain abreast of AV advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization\nCreate and maintain technical documentation in accordance with company guidelines and translate customer requirements into functional system designs\nContribute to improving process workflows and maintaining system administration, scheduling and resources for the department\n\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\n\nMust-Haves:\n\nAbility to mentor, educate, and develop members of the team\nExceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills\nAbility to understand the team and provide solutions for optimal performance\nCommunicate and interact with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and timely manner\nStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization\nUnderstanding of engineering aspects of audiovisual systems design and installation preferred\nExcellent multitasking capabilities while adapting to changing priorities\nEnergized self-starter capable of working and thinking independently and ensuring to meet deadlines\nMust have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally\nDemonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills\nAbility to read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints\nUnderstand basic IP networking\nAdvanced computer skills as required for the design, configuration, and operation of AV equipment\nAbility to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines\nEffective communication and interaction with employees, clients and colleagues\nValid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards\nMinimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent\n\nNice-To-Haves:\n\nS, degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is preferred\nAt least 10 years of AV experience is preferred\nExperience with Enterprise VC solutions ( Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence etc)-both hardware and software\nAVIXIA CTS-D (Certified Technical Specialist-Design) is preferred\nA minimum of 6 years of AV experience plus a four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience\n\nWHY YOU’LL LIKE WORKING HERE\n\nMedical benefits, including vision and dental\nPaid holidays, sick days, and personal days\nEnjoyable and dynamic company culture\nTraining and professional development opportunities\n\nMORE ABOUT US\n\nAVI-SPL is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
