The resource must have experience with upgrading core versions of Oracle database and managing a highly available environment.Complete Description:Our client is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to manage and maintain the central Oracle environment for the District. The resource must have experience with upgrading core versions of Oracle database and managing a highly available environment. This includes backup and restore, troubleshooting connectivity, performing failovers as planned or in support of unplanned activities, performing maintenance to include optimizing and tuning, reviewing memory, I/O, indexing, queries, access, tablespace, schemas. The resource must have experience with capacity planning, incident response and root cause analysis, and working with cross functional collaboration with teams (developers, architects, security) utilizing the environment.CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsibilities: Plans, organizes, and implements projects in support of District’s growing information demands. Ensures the effective use of District resources. Contributes to policies for effective process planning as it relates to new requirements. Possesses expert knowledge of the Structured Query Language (SQL) environment with particular emphasis on planning, analysis, design and implementation of reports and report interfaces intended for the end user. Participates in short-term tactical planning implementation.
