Our Team, Your Impact
POSITION SUMMARY: This position provides front line leadership to direct reports in support of the manufacturing/packaging of drug products. The preferred candidate drives a culture of compliance, ownership and continuous improvement by blending an understanding of lean concepts with a working knowledge of equipment, processes and systems.
Shift: This position follows a fixed night shift schedule, working Tuesday through Thursday from 6:00 PM to 6:15 AM. There is also an optional opportunity to work an additional 4 hours on Tuesdays from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Provides one-to-one feedback to area leads and direct reports regarding team/individual performance
Develops a plan, with staff, to achieve goals and tracks progress-to-plan using performance metrics
Implements ownership culture and management routines to improve compliance, equipment efficiency and personnel efficiency
Maintains consistency with peers to ensure smooth transitions and continuity across shifts
Leads Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) sessions to drive continuous performance improvement
Works with Maintenance to predict and prevent unplanned downtime
Assists with quality investigations and CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions)
Performs reviews and approves completed batch records
Creates, revises, reviews and approves Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Completes all training requirements and maintains 100% team compliance with all assignments
Implants shop floor schedule based on product demand
Performs job functions in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), and Batch Record instructions
Performs additional related duties as assigned
Your Skills and Experience
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Prefer bachelor’s degree
Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a regulated industry
Requires a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a leadership role
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Motivate and lead others
Computer proficiency with knowledge of automated systems (ERP) preferred
Self‑directed with ability to organize and prioritize work
Communicate effectively with written and oral communication skills
Interact positively with co‑workers and management
Problem Solving:
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires knowledge and evaluation of identifiable factors
Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies and selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Normally receives minimal instruction on routine work and receives general instructions on new assignments
May proactively recommend methods and procedures for problem resolution
Physical Requirements:
Required to routinely wear personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, powered air purifying respirator, gloves, etc
May be required to stand for prolonged periods of time
Occasionally lifting or moving heavy objects up to 50 pounds
