You'll play a critical role in transforming ideas into robust, manufacturable products that solve real-world challenges.\nChromoLogic LLC (www.chromologic.com (http://www.chromologic.com/)) is a world-class innovation center with advanced scientific research and development in the medical, aerospace and security markets.\nWhat You'll Do\nArchitect complex embedded systems and design electronic hardware from concept through production\nCreate schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts using tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or Eagle\nDevelop, debug, and maintain production-quality firmware in C/C++ utilizing bare-metal and RTOS-based architectures\nDesign and implement solutions for microcontroller platforms including ARM Cortex, STM32, AVR, and PIC\nBuild, assemble, solder, wire, and rework functional prototypes in a laboratory environment\nPerform hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and system validation using:\nOscilloscopes\nLogic analyzers\nJTAG/SWD debuggers\nSignal generators and test equipment\nIntegrate and validate communication interfaces including BLE, CAN Bus, SPI, I²C, UART, USB\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-performance solutions\nOptimize component selection, PCB real estate, manufacturability, reliability, and bill of materials (BOM) costs\nSupport prototype testing, production ramp-up, and manufacturing transition activities\nInvestigate and solve complex system-level challenges involving electronics, embedded software, sensors, and optics\nRequired Qualifications\nBS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field\n5+ years of professional experience developing embedded electronic systems\nProven experience in both hardware and firmware development\nStrong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems\nExperience designing and routing multi-layer PCBs\nHands-on experience with prototype assembly, soldering, rework, and electrical debugging\nSolid understanding of digital and analog electronics\nExperience with industry-standard debugging and test equipment\nFamiliarity with embedded communication protocols and interfaces\nWhy You'll Love This Role\nThis is not a narrow, siloed engineering position.
