This role is responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, integration processes, and cloud-based data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and mission operations. The position supports enterprise data movement, transformation, and curation activities across multiple environments.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nBuild and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration.\r\nSupport development of ETL/ELT workflows for data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms.\r\nMonitor and improve data quality, reliability, and performance across the data ecosystem.\r\nSupport cloud-based deployment, automation, and sustainment of production data systems.\r\nCollaborate with architects, analysts, and developers to deliver data solutions aligned with mission needs.\r\nMinimum Required Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.\r\nMinimum of 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or data integration.\r\nHands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, or Scala.\r\nExperience with cloud-based data platforms and big data environments.\r\nDemonstrated experience with data ingestion, transformation, curation, and pipeline troubleshooting.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nAdvanced degree in a related field.\r\nExperience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and AWS data services.\r\nExperience supporting analytics, reporting, or machine learning data environments.\r\nFamiliarity with data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices.\r\nRelevant cloud or data engineering certifications.\r\nClearance Requirement\r\nMust possess an active Secret security clearance or higher , or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher in accordance with contract requirements.\r\nAkumen, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
