This role oversees direct reports on the SIM center team. This role establishes the schedule for the SIM center through collaboration with the other schools and programs utilizing this shared space. This role works closely with the HMSOM Clinical Skills program in the development of the curriculum with regard to resources and technical capabilities.\n**Hybrid - 4 days per week on site to accomodate simulation lab schedule in Nutley.**\nResponsibilities A day in the life of a Simulation Program Manager (SIM PM) at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:\nManages all operations related to the SIM center including but not limited to handling the overall schedule of the center and resolving any conflicts that may arise among multiple tenants.\nIn conjunction with the HMSOM Clinical Skills team, develops and executes the curriculum with regard to simulation activities.\nProvides technical and operational guidance and support to the development and delivery of clinical skills programming.\nDevelops, updates and revises operational policies and standard operating procedures as needed.\nAssists in ensuring the implementation, adherence, monitoring, and continuous improvement of all policies and procedures related to simulation activities,including but not limited to those regarding safety and operations.\nOversees the use and operations of the SIM Center including exam labs, skills labs, and SIM Center equipment.\nProvides leadership to the Simulation Techs and the SP Educator which including but not limited to conducting performance evaluations and upholding policies.\nServes as the primary liaison regarding the resolution of any technical issues.\nProvides educational and technical support to staff and students to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of simulation activities.\nOversees and develops educational materials to assist students and faculty with the use of simulation resources.\nMaintains and creates relationships with internal and external vendors, and oversight of warranties pertaining to clinical, manikins, and procedural equipment.\nWorks closely with the SIM Team on inventory management.\nOversees and manages communications with faculty, students, standardized patients, and administration.\nManages the collection of student performance data (grades, competency assessments, and other information) within the simulation center and facilitates OIEA access to the data.\nGenerates compliance reports related to policies.\nOther duties and/or projects as assigned.\nAdheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.\nQualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:\nBachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Computer Science or related field.\nMinimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.\nMust be able to establish, implement and operationalize processes and apply a system-based approach.\nAbility to effectively manage all daily communications as well as documents and reports regarding administrative aspects of the clerkship curriculum.\nMust be adept at multitasking, keeping extremely organized and detailed.\nMust have ability to work independently with limited supervision.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProficient computer skills that include but are not limited to GoogleSuite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.\nEducation, Knowledge, Skills and Preferred:\nMaster's degree in Health Sciences, Computer Science or related field.\nExperience in team management and oversight.\nLeadership development training.\nHackensack Meridian School of Medicine, A New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation, does not discriminate on the basis of sex and prohibits sex discrimination in any education program or activity that it operates, including admissions and employment in accordance with TitleIX.
