Role Description This is a part-time or PRN, on-site role for a Speech Language Pathologist based in Newport News, VA. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide evaluation and therapy services to patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Primary responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, monitoring progress, and providing education and support to patients and families. Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members and adherence to clinical documentation standards will also be key components of this role. Qualifications Proficiency in diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disordersStrong interpersonal, communication, and patient counseling skillsKnowledge of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices in speech-language pathologyAbility to create and document individualized treatment plans and therapeutic goalsFamiliarity with safety and infection control protocols in healthcare settingsMaster's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and valid Speech-Language Pathology state licenseCertificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferredExperience working with diverse patient populations, including various age groups, is a plusCommitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
