Technicians are responsible for performing installations, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring systems remain operational with minimal downtime.\n\nThis role requires strong technical problem solving, customer service, and communication skills. Technicians work both remotely and on-site, proactively supporting customers and ensuring the reliability of ETS network services.\n\nInstallation Technicians perform installations and repairs under the supervision of a team leader. Responsibilities include installing internet services, responding to service requests, diagnosing system issues, running tests, and providing end-user support.\n\nETS also services its own wireless towers. Candidates with tower climbing or tower maintenance experience are strongly preferred.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\n\nPrepare for installations by reviewing service orders and gathering tools, equipment, and materials\nCoordinate installation schedules with customers\nEvaluate installation sites and determine equipment placement and wiring plans\nInstall wireless broadband equipment and related infrastructure\nRun, pull, and terminate Cat5/6 cabling\nConfigure, program, and calibrate networking equipment\nTest systems and connections to verify proper operation\nDiagnose and troubleshoot network and equipment issues\nDocument installations, service work, and repairs\nProvide responsive and professional customer support\nMaintain strong customer relationships by addressing questions and concerns\nFollow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment\nMaintain tool and equipment inventory\nIdentify opportunities to improve service delivery and installation processes\nAssist with installation of wireless antennas on towers and other vertical assets\n\nJob Requirements\n\nValid driver’s license\nAbility to pass criminal background and MVR (driving record) screening\n\nAbility to pass a pre-employment drug test\n\nAbility to lift up to 70 pounds\n\nAbility to climb ladders up to 40 feet\n\nComfortable working at heights\n\nDesired Skills\n\nSuccessful Installation Technicians typically demonstrate:\n\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting abilities\nExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills\nCreative problem solving\nStrong written and verbal communication\nEffective time management and organizational skills\nManual dexterity for installation and equipment repair\nAbility to work independently and within a team environment\n\nExperience & Certifications\n\nETS values candidates with diverse technical backgrounds.
