If you are a committed and enthusiastic engineer, we invite you to bring your experience and talent to our team.\nThe Electrical Test Engineer will conduct development tasks under the direction of the Director of Engineering (or higher). Tasks will be primarily focused on electrical testing (including design and documentation) and will also include some general engineering tasks in support of department priorities.\nHow You’ll Add Value\nConduct all assigned tasks under the direction of the Director of Engineering (or higher).\nExecute electrical test procedures and document results. This is applicable to devices at any point in the product lifecycle, including prototypes for development use, pilot production of saleable product, or returned devices under investigation.\nDevelop and/or update electrical test procedures, corresponding forms, and reports.\nDesign and prototype electrical test fixtures.\nAssist product development engineers in design, verification, and validation of automated electrical test systems.\nExecute and/or manage deployment and maintenance of automated electrical test systems.\nAssist product development engineers in design and prototyping of electronic devices (may include schematic capture, PCB layout, component specification and procurement, assembly and board bring-up)\nWrite clear and detailed technical reports and procedures in English.\nCoordinate technical aspects of assigned tasks with other group engineers and technical staff at electronic assembly vendors.\nProcure, operate, and maintain engineering lab equipment.\nEnsure assigned tasks are completed in compliance with departmental standard operating procedures and corporate quality policies.\nPerform other tasks in support of the operation of the Product Development department as assigned.\nWhat You’re Bringing with You\n2+ years of experience in a hands-on electronics-related work environment (substantial academic research may be considered as equivalent)\nBachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience\nAbility to execute electronic test procedures\nAbility to use electronic test equipment, including Oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, and function generators\nAbility to read and understand schematics.\nAbility to solder and assemble electronic prototypes • Ability to function well in a self-driven, start-up like environment and balance multiple assignments\nStrong ability to communicate in English, including writing technical documentation\nCompensation & Benefits\n\nAnnual Base Salary Range: $ 70,000-85,000\nFull Coverage Medical Benefits – Employee + family contribution is 100% covered by Impulse Dynamics.\nPaid Vacation, floating holidays, and sick time.\nPaid Holidays\n401k Match (up to 6%)\nAnnual bonus eligibility\n\nUnless specifically indicated communicated otherwise in writing, all employees are “at-will” employees.
